Prayer meetings at Jesus centre

After inauguration and blessing of the centre, for the first four months from April to July 2006 we conducted prayer meetings in the evenings from 6pm -7.30 pm in English and Konkani on every Wednesday and Friday respectively.

3 day Hindi retreat

The first retreat at the centre was conducted in Hindi for Hindi speaking people from different states working in Goa was held in last week of July 2006 Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. It was led by Bro. Martin who was at that time with Divine Retreat Centre Kerala along with Jesus Centre team.

3-day English/Konkani retreat

Thereafter, the first 3 day English /Konkani retreat was held on 26^th to 28^th August 2006 from 9 am to 6pm .The same was preached by the Director and Fr. Braz Faleiro, the spiritual guide of the centre. The afternoon lunch for the retreatants was served at the Centre. As the response for the 3 day retreat was good, it continued for the years 2006 ,2007 and 2008 and part of 2009. Many souls were brought to the Lord and many conversions of heart took place. There were many people who proclaimed their testimonies during these three and half years after each retreat. The programe for the retreats consisted of praise and worship, word of God reflection , Holy mass and Eucharistic adoration.

Ministry of healing and deliverance

It was manifested during the retreats in 2010 that ministry of healing and deliverance is given to the Centre. Many cases of oppression and possession were cured at the centre through the power of the spirit.

Association of Christ Faithful

On 16^th December 2013, we submitted the statutes of the Jesus Centre Association to the Archbishop of Goa with a request to approve them and to register Jesus Centre Association as an Association of Christ’s Faithful.

Year 2009 to 2013 programe continued at Jesus centre

From August 2009 we started having half day retreats in English /Konkani from 9.30 to 1.30 pm on Sundays except on the 3^rd Sunday of the month. We conducted Hindi retreats on those days with the same programe.

Year 2014

We started retreats every Wednesday in the evening from 4 to 7.30 pm both in English and Konkani and every Sunday was kept for Hindi retreats instead of just 3^rd Sunday. We also conducted 3-day retreat during the year in the evening at same time whenever there were public holidays. In the year 2014 -2015 we conducted some outreach retreats at Malwan, Navsarni centre Sawantwadi, Merces church, Caranzalem church and the Calangute church hall. The same programe for the retreats at the centre continued up to 15^th March 2020.

Closure of all places of worship by Government order

We had the last retreat at Jesus Centre on 15^th March 2020. On 19^th March order came from the government to close all religious places of worship for public services on account of the covid 19 pandemic. Thus, the centre was closed for public services and retreats from 19^th March 2020, however. other day to day activities and continued at the centre.

Preaching of the Gospel.

The main charism of Jesus Centre is preaching of the word of God and proclamation of his kingdom on earth as revealed by the Lord. The centre will open as time passes by to fulfill the purpose for which it has been established.

Intercessory prayers

In response to the inspiration and direction of the Spirit we have begun intercessory prayers at the centre from second week of June 2024 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 5 pm to 6.30 pm and 3 pm to 4.30 pm, respectively praying for the specific intention of coming of the second Pentacost in the world and a moment of glory at the centre to commence the mission.

Year 2025

The intercessory prayers for the above intentions are going on at the centre with full trust and confidence in the Lord for the moment of glory to arrive at the centre as promised by Him to unfold and begin the mission to turn Jesus Centre into salvation centre in the world to proclaim the Good News that God loves humanity and offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life in the holy and glorious name of Jesus.
